President of Hemo Lab Philippines

Hanif Muhammad
As the founder of Hemo Lab Philippines Inc., it has been my lifelong dream to create a healthcare facility that reaches people beyond the boundaries of major cities—especially those in underserved areas.
My journey began in Pakistan, where I graduated as a Medical Technologist. With a passion for advancing in the medical field, I moved to the United States, where I specialized further and worked with several international medical companies. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of attending and speaking at various global medical seminars and conferences, including the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), MedLab Middle East, and the International Conference on Laboratory Medicine. I also organized workshops focused on quality assurance in diagnostics and emerging infectious diseases, contributing to global health discussions.
After retiring from international service, I returned with a dream—to offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and medical services at affordable prices, especially to those who need them most. With the support of a group of compassionate investors, that dream became a reality through the establishment of Hemo Lab Philippines Inc., a multispecialty diagnostic clinic based in Taytay, Rizal.
At Hemo Lab, we are committed not just to healthcare—but to care in its truest form. Our mission is simple: To provide high-quality diagnostic services at prices that ordinary people can afford. We go a step further by offering additional discounts to indigent patients, because we believe that access to healthcare is a basic human right—not a privilege.
But healthcare doesn't begin in a clinic. It begins at home, in the kitchen, on the plate. That is why our advocacy extends beyond diagnostics to address a critical issue: food and nutrition.
Healthy Food for All
This must be more than a slogan—it should be a movement.
Every night, over 828 million people—more than 10% of the world’s population—go to bed hungry. That’s 46 million more than the year before, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Two-thirds of them are women, and most live in areas hit hardest by climate change.
The problem doesn’t stop at hunger. Even when food is available, it may not be safe. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 600 million people fall ill each year due to contaminated food, and 420,000 tragically die—many of them children.
Access to clean, nutritious, and safe food is not just an agricultural or economic issue—it is a health issue. And we, as healthcare providers, have a responsibility to speak out, educate, and act.
At Hemo Lab, we are exploring partnerships and outreach programs focused on nutritional education, food safety awareness, and community health initiatives. Our vision is not only to heal, but also to prevent—to empower every Filipino family to make informed choices about what they eat.
Because a healthy life begins with healthy food.
Together, let us champion the cause of "Healthy Food for All" and build a future where healthcare is holistic, affordable, and accessible to everyone.
